The interconnection space has been one of the most rapidly evolving pieces of the communications infrastructure marketplace over the last few years. Now it seems to have evolved further, stretching into the world of software-as-a-service. IIX today launched a new SaaS company, called Console Inc., aimed at bringing direct network interconnection to enterprises.
IIX isn’t revealing a lot of details about Console’s technology yet, those will come at an unveiling event on September 9 along with the first partners for the company’s ecosystem. But basically, they’ve been building a software suite that automates the business of interconnection to a level where enterprises can point and click their way to secure cloud connectivity. That helps them bypass the public internet along the way to the AWS, Azure, and other cloud assets that are so increasingly important to business today.
